Just a small word for those who prefer to move into the future equipped with memory…
Take note of all the silenced bombast and the grandiose rhetoric that has been muted; the vainglorious boasts and promises by jihadis and militans used to seduce you from your senses or used to curse you for remaining sensible when they bragged about the victories their hands would achieve and about which no rational mind could have ever been convinced. Take note of their silence now and their absence.
They ruined their own lives and brought devastation to others. I don’t care if it is Al-Qaeda, or Da’esh, or ARSA in Myanmar. They and their advocates and defenders have collided with reality, and despite all their bravado, they are yet not even brave enough to take responsibility for the disasters they have wrought.
I want you to take note of this so that the next time others of their same ilk appear you will know better and shun them as they should be shunned. They are callers to the Gates of Hell; to a fire that is all heat and no light. I pray our memories will be at least as long as our future, so we will not continue making the same mistakes in a cycle of perpetual catasrophe
