“The priority now is supporting Sister Shuhada in her journey within Islam. She needs time for reflection and training without being exposed to the outside world. …At this stage, she needs your prayers…”
I mean, I am glad the sister has some people to go to for sound knowledge and so on, but, Bro, you make it sound like she has been in a terrible car accident instead of embracing Islam…
I am pretty sure she has more experience than her current advisers on how to handle media and an onslaught of requests from organisations. She was strong and independent enough to make it to Islam, I expect she is strong and independent enough to handle the wave of attention.
The role of imams and others in the community with knowledge is to help her with the stuff she DOESN’T know yet, not really with the stuff she undoubtedly knows better than they do. Teach, don’t manage. Be available, don’t control.
Just sayin’
