So the House of Representatives think Trump should have gotten Congressional approval for the drone strike against Qassem Suleimani, though Obama conducted drone strikes all day long without it. I guess the difference is the target. If the target is a civilian, it’s fine. If it is a general; not fine.
So basically, congressional approval is needed for lawful military targets, but when it is just straight up murder, that is an executive privilege.
