Here’s a thought: in 2019 the Democrats raised roughly $1.4 billion for campaigning; mostly for candidates who would not, and could never win the nomination, much less the presidency; why not organise to raise that kind of money to create a fund for people who can’t afford healthcare, can’t pay their student loans, or to support entrepreneurs?
