Anyone reporting #CoronaVirus fatalities who does not mention demographic disparities is fear-mongering.
The fatality rate for people between the ages of 50 to 60 is roughly 1.3%
The fatality for people ages 40-50 is around 0.4%.
For people below the age of 40, the fatality rate is only about 0.2%
The median age in the US is 38. Most people who contract the virus are between the ages of 30 to 70, and the vast majority of these cases are mild.
The population significantly at risk from #Covid19 are the elderly.
I do not see any reason why restrictive measures cannot be implemented specifically to protect the easily identifiable at-risk demographic group
