You know how you keep seeing headlines about the alarming number of young people affected by #coronavirus, because you are supposed to accept the idea that there isn’t actually an identifiable vulnerable demographic, and EVERYONE should be scared to go outside?
Well, here is the actual data: of the roughly 5% of cases that require hospitalization, young people are between 14.3%-20.8% of that 5%, and only between 2.0%-4.2% of that 5%.
So, in the US that means roughly 2,259 young people in hospital and about 450 in ICU. That is out of a total number of confirmed #covid19 cases of 215,175.
