White Liberals are currently indulging in an orgy of self-righteous confession and a strictly self-serving repudiation of historical wrongs that provides them an opportunity to absolve themselves through raucous indignation. Black people are props in this exercise, and will be discarded once the fervor fully dissolves into a sense of tranquility about the purity and goodness of their own souls.
