I used to know someone who I was surprised to learn believes in astrology. I asked her what her Zodiac sign was, and she told me, so I read her the character description of a completely different sign, and asked if she thought it fit her personality, assuming that I was reading the description of her own sign; she said it described her perfectly. Perhaps because the ‘star I was born under’ is probably a black hole, I revealed that I had tricked her and thereby disproved the accuracy of astrology. The result? She still believes in astrology, and we no longer know each other.
There are probably multiple lessons to be learned from that experience, but mostly, I still think it’s funny.
