Companies spend a great deal of money on market research; analyzing the habits, attitudes, and preferences of their customer bases. They build their marketing and advertising strategy around this research. We have failed to realize how important this is, and how much potential influence that gives us; because, at the end of the day, business MUST be responsive. We have a far better chance of getting business to respond to us as consumers than getting government to respond to us as citizens.
