Voters should not be any politician’s groupies, their entourage; praising, applauding, defending, always uncritical, always sycophantic, always excusing. For purely strategic reasons, even if you sincerely believe that they are truly the best person for the office, you are not helping them win when you willfully overlook and deny when they are doing or saying things that are detrimental to their chances of winning.
Not every critic is wrong, is biased, is ignorant; and not every critic is a supporter of your candidate’s opponent. Sometimes, criticism is simply honest.
