The Democrats are not “Woke”. They are not Leftists. There is a misunderstanding about this in America. Liberals and Leftists have different intellectual DNA; they are different political species. Like any political party, they are opportunist, and a lot of their traditional constituents have fallen into the Woke cult, so they parrot their rhetoric here and there for perceived political gain.
Obviously, this is a serious miscalculation for a number of reasons — political miscalculation is what the Democrats do best. The two main reasons why appeasing the Woke Mob is a bad idea are, 1.) they are not actually popular and appeasement will not translate into electoral success; and 2.) the Woke Mob cannot be appeased. They are ideological extremists who do not accept anything less than complete capitulation, and they will devour the Democrats just as ravenously as they are devouring everyone else.
