Insofar as silence construes consent, and being mute in the face of injustice constitutes approval, even collaboration; why on earth do we not hear a single word from the Muslim Brotherhood about the IMF loan and the devastating policies that come with it?
Of course, we have not heard anything from any of the other smaller factions either, but it is particularly conspicuous when the biggest organization, the most vocal opponent, and the most direct victims of the Coup, have nothing whatsoever to say about this issue.
Egypt is about to be plunged into a pit of even worse poverty and suffering, the sovereignty of the nation is being sold for generations to come; yet the Ikhwan seem to be oblivious.
“We have to get rid of Sisi”…ok…but do you realize that the term of this loan is TWENTY YEARS? Do yo not plan to get rid of Sisi before 2036? If you do, you will still be bound by this debt, you will still be tied to the policies it dictates, you will still exist under total domination by foreign banks and multinational corporations; you will still be enslaved.
Really? Do you have nothing to say? Your silence is the sound of your own credibility deteriorating by the minute.
