Muslim leadership in the US have convinced themselves that it is a principled position to apply for sanctuary within the Left’s tent of “tolerance”, despite how thoroughly we are required to leave our principles at the door of that tent. This is mostly because the Right vilifies us. Because the Right wing is repulsed by Muslims, Muslims are seeking the acceptance of those whom we should, if we are being honest, be repulsed by.
The Right hates us for our religion, and the Left welcomes us as long as we abandon our religion.
